Yee is a research fellow at the Humanitarianism and Cooperation Research Division of the Korea Institute for National Unification. She obtained her doctoral degree at Dankook University in 2006. She has great interest in North Korea’s culture, arts, and cultural politics and images. She is participating in studies on the history of divided cultural and artistic ideas; hybridity of post-socialist North Korea; and discourses about North Korea’s governance using text mining technique.
